    Geforce 9500MGS Clock problem?

    I was looking at the benchmarks ere -


    and it says he memory clock for the 9500M GS should be 700MHz. However GPU-Z lists it as only 400 Mhz. What's going on?

    Dunno havent checked the clocks for this card but.. Probably Powermizer feature is reducing the clocks when idle

    No, it's the default clock speed. It goes down to 100 or so otherwise.

    That's because the memory is DDR2. IIRC there are no 9500m GS models with GDDR3.

    DDR2 = 400 MHz
    GDDR3 = 700 MHz

    I was going to suggest nVidia's site, but they also list the 9500m GS as having 700MHz memory.

    I suppose ask around the NBR, they've yet to fail me! :D

    dude, i have this problem too. i own acer 8920 wit 9500m gs and ntune shows my default mem. clock is just 400 mhz. Somebody must have played me, man... :mad:

    You guys own the DDR2 versions of the card so that's why you see the 400MHz memory clock. It's not the biggest performance hit trust me.
