I was looking at the benchmarks ere -
and it says he memory clock for the 9500M GS should be 700MHz. However GPU-Z lists it as only 400 Mhz. What's going on?
-
-
Dunno havent checked the clocks for this card but.. Probably Powermizer feature is reducing the clocks when idle
-
No, it's the default clock speed. It goes down to 100 or so otherwise.
-
That's because the memory is DDR2. IIRC there are no 9500m GS models with GDDR3.
DDR2 = 400 MHz
GDDR3 = 700 MHz -
But it's listed here at 700 mhz:

for the 10th time, this site is BS. maybe this one was true, but its still BS
-
Where is there a good benchmarking site then.
-
I was going to suggest nVidia's site, but they also list the 9500m GS as having 700MHz memory.
I suppose ask around the NBR, they've yet to fail me! -
dude, i have this problem too. i own acer 8920 wit 9500m gs and ntune shows my default mem. clock is just 400 mhz. Somebody must have played me, man...
-
You guys own the DDR2 versions of the card so that's why you see the 400MHz memory clock. It's not the biggest performance hit trust me.
Playa: no no-one played you
Brainer: Notebookcheck is a *great* site! Although this is the page you should bookmark
