What is the difference between these two cards? I mean, I see that the 9800M GT has more pipelines and a faster clock speed.
The reason I'm asking is that there is a Laptop I want that has the 9600M GS that has 1GB of Ram versus the 9800M GT with only 512 megs. Will the 9800M GT run games better than the 9600M GS even though the GS has twice the amount of Ram?
I want something that can play Crysis on high. Do I want the 9800M GT or the 9600M GS?

Read the GPU Guide first please.

9800 > 9600.

9600M GS is mid-range (128-bit memory interface)
9800M GT is very high-end (256-bit memory interface) -
definitely take the 9800. the 9600, while it has more memory, wont be able to use more than 256 mb, where the 9800 will be able to use all of its memory. it has a higher bitrate. if anything will get you the settings you like for crysis its the 9800.

Let me put it this way: the 9800M GT is over three times faster than the 9600M GS. The card's overall specs mean more than its' amount of memory.
