Hello all,
just wondering if I could get some advice on how well this particular graphics card will perform for current games. Am a big fan of RTS and RPG games, particularly Total War and Diablo series. Other system specs are - i7-2360QM 2.0GHz, 6MB DDR3 RAM, 750GB HDD, 1366x768 HD display.
Haven't used a laptop for gaming in some time, so was wondering, will I run into any significant performance problems with, say, Shogun 2 or upcoming Diablo 3?
Thanks!![]()

According to documentation, this card is slighlty better than my current AMD Radeon HD 6630M and the card I'm using is just wonderful. I don't know what Shogun requirements are, but with Diablo 3 you will definitely NOT have any problems with graphics, as my 6630M can play GTAIV on HD resolution, every setting at max (only shadows quality is set to medium) with hardly any lag (sometimes I get fps drop to 20 fps during very intense situations, like 5 stars wanted level shootout standing in one place). 540M will totally be ok if you are going to play recent games at HD resolution, not Full HD on external monitor.

For a 768p resolution, the 540 will do nicely, like songee said, don't expect high settings if you're hooked up to an external monitor with a higher resolution.

Nice one, thanks guys. Shame I won't be able to make full use of my TV for epic Shogun battles but nevermind!

Karamazovmm Overthinking? Always!
well you could always use a lower res in your screen tv (and do please use it, the hit from upping the res is too great)
Now, I can play shogun 2 with settings on high, but I havent played it yet since the new patch came with AA and all that jazz, but from what I saw only higher end gpus are going to deliver the goods (gt 555m or the 6770m), sensibly most performance figures I saw where for desktop cards
