Hello everyone
I was wondering if i could get some help with my laptop running WoW.
I have a Pavilion dv6000 with a Nvidia Geforce Go 6150 card.
AMD Athlon x2 64 dual core processor.
I saw a post here from a guy who had the same card and people said he would get around 30 fps. I am getting around 9 fps and its killing me.
I am on lowest settings.
I would really appreciate any help with this, i know the popular response is "drop vista, get xp" but if i would rather avoid that.
Thanks again. Also if you need to know more please let me know, i really wanna get this fixed.

have you made sure the laptop is in performance mode?

BenLeonheart walk in see this wat do?
I have a Go6150 on a dv2000...
let me just say that go6150 even struggles on sims2...
dont expect much from it.
it kinda sux. rly. -
hmmm, did u upgrade ram ?
cuz if u'r runnin 1gb on a vista and expect fast performance in wow that won't happen. vista just eats through your ram, upgrade it and listen to the advice when ppl say "drop vista get xp" -
I had an old compaq presario with the AMD dual core and a go 6150 and i was able to run WoW and Sims 2 fine on lower settings, granted i had XP and 1 gig of ram and like others have said vista eats more ran than XP so maybe instead of dropping vista just get more RAM, it should run alright. For an integrated card games ran pretty well for me on it.

since patch 3.00 alot of new graphical improvements were introdoced to the game, higher spell detail, sharper textures and real time shadows.
make sure you turn off those settings as they require more power. -
Ya i actually did go out and buy more ram right now im at 2.50 GB
the first response asked if my laptop was in performance mode...i honestly dont know. How can i check? And if it is not how can i turn it on?
thanks again for your help.
About replacing Vista, im really not gonna do this on my laptop. I plan on either getting a desktop comp this winter and ill make sure that has xp on it.
Thanks again
Edit: Oh if by performance mode you mean the battery life option then yes it is. -
i play wow and run it on a 6150 card on my laptop
per-3.0 patch, i was getting a good 15-25 FPS, even in Org or Shat or AV...but after 3.0, my lag increased and so did my latency for some reason...
but yeah do as brian hanna has said and just change the graphic specs in the game... -
3.0 lowered everyone's FPS. Turn everything to the lowest possible setting and lower the res to 1024x768 or lower if you have to. I ran 1280x800 res everything low on an ati 200m and got 15-25FPS, so your fps should be the same or higher with vista.
