I have a dv8000t with geforce go 7600 (see sig) clocked at 450/380. Recently, it seems that temperatures have been higher than usual. Idled, temps hover around 55 degrees Celsius. When gaming, it reaches upwards of 70 degrees. At that point, the under side of the laptop feels very hot. I have been playing around with overclocking so is it possible that i overheated my card? Are those normal/healthy temps for that card?

well im not genius nor geek but i read that when you downclock you get lower power consumption> lower current resistance> lower cpu/GPU temperature

It is very likely the opposite with overclocking i would guess.

Those OC'ed temps are fine as long as it doesn't go over 95c or so...
