Well a certain little manufacturer known as zepto have a 512mb 7600 inside their gamer laptops. I was wondering if there was truly any point to this as it may not be powerful enough to handle all the ram?

    Thanks

Edit: Think its important to mention that these cards have a clock of 450mhz with memory at 700mhz, so they are faster then normal.

It probably isn't capable of using that amount of RAM. Only high end cards, like the 7900 GTX, can really efficiently use that amount of RAM. The 256 Mb version is the one to go for.

I would say its unlikely to use all of the 512mb, but it certainly uses more than 256mb. This is always a plus especially in games such as BF2 when there are a lot of things going on at the same time. Zeptos are really good value for money so i would say there is no need to downgrade just for that, and the higher clockrates as you said provide better performance than the standard go 7600 256mb anyway...

Woah.. their memory is clocked at 750???? Mine can only go up to 405... if I try OC even further, get artifacts all over the place....

    It's DDR2 so 405mhz is 810mhz effective. I get artifacting above 410mhz myself. I usually keep mine at 405.
