    Geforce go7400 help needed..

    Im planning to buy a lenovo notebook 3000 y500 series with config: intel core2duo 1.73Ghz,667Mhz, 2mb L2 cache, 2gb ddr2 sdram, nvidia geforce go 7400.. Can anyone tell me whether i would be able to play high end games on this notebook like F.E.A.R and others.. Please help me..

    You would have to turn some video settings down to get a good framerate, but you can certainly play F.E.A.R. and similar high-end games on that notebook.

    go 7400 is integrated i think...so not that great...but ya u can play F.E.A.R on medium settings with shadows....i have go 6100 and i am able to play F.E.A.R at low reso without shadows...

    Thnx.. But can i play the high end games with most good settings on.. And also can i play them smoothly on resolution 1280*800 ..

    Go7400 is not integrated but dedicated.. But what does dedicated mean ..

    the 7400 is equal or a little worse than the x1400 (which i had)

    when i did a almost 20% OC, i still could only play fear at most med, some high settings, but all shadow settings low (esp soft shadow) and it only gave me average fps of 40

    high end games such as bioshock, must run at low settings or lower resolution to get smooth 25+ fps gameplay

    depends on what you define as high end

    HL2: ep2 and portal will run superb at maxed out settings at 1280*800 and its the newest must have game coming out, but its not as graphically demanding as oblivion
