    today morning when i opened steam i got a surprise..


    lying in "Not Installed" section was TF2...

    I got so excited coz i was planning to buy it..

    lovely game..i have tried it out in Cafe..

    installing it rite now while typing..


    Anyone else got it for free?

    and is it demo or full?

    Yeah, TF2 is under my "not installed" as well but it has 1.6 days left in brackets beside it. It is probably a demo. =/

    That will explain the "Free TF2 Weekend" thing. It's the full game...for 3 days.

    The game's price has been lowered to $19.99 on Steam and is on sale at Fry's for $14.99 currently.

    What a stupid gift... u mean after 4th may that Game will stop working? even if i have already installed it?

    that means by the time there slow servers complete the download.. the free period will already be over.

    It's crap because you have a slow internet connection? Or it's crap because you actually thought the company made a "boo-boo" and gave you a free game? Or it's crap because you didn't see ALL the updates about TF2 being free this weekend? Which one.

    On my internet connection, (only 6mb), it took TF2 about 30 minutes to download, and CS:S around the same. Once you get the feel for it, shell out the whopping $20 and buy it!

    Can;t be. Reinstalled Steam and TF2 other day and its almost 7 gigs. That is unless you have one of the half life 2's installed.

    Yes but The games share alot in common. Such as the half life engine and such. You have to download the common files if you don't have any of the newer valve games.

    anyway i am happy with CZ & CS1.6

    TF2 is heavy on my comp.. playing it on 1024X768.

    this is just to promote their new map and game mode update gold rush. i play this all the time on my comp since its so fun. for some reason this is more fun than cod 4 to me. when i was playing yesturday there were so many new people, the people on the server just kept making fun of them.

    I'd definitely think about getting it if I didn't already beat the HL2 Series + Portal already on my roommate's computer.
