with the new half life 2, episode 1, 2, fortress, and portal coming out, i definately want to pick this package up. i was wondering what you guys thought a better pickup woudl be.
i have a mediocre PC, (9800PRO GPU, 1gb ram) that can run half life 2 pretty good but not maxed out. i enjoy the moues and keyboard for the most part but i also dont mind using the controller for 360. I hear that the 360 version is to be a PC maxed out visually on an HDTV. I still find PC graphics to be superior even with my 9800 to ports (call of duty 2, doom3) would you guys still recommend getting the package for the PC or 360? and which do you think it woud look better on?
-
depends, do you have an hdtv?
-
Call of Duty 2 on the 360 looks infinitely better then the PC version running on a 9800Pro....
I'd also ask the HDTV question primarily though. -
I can max out half life 2 with a x1800 and 512 megs of ram.
I can make HL2 run on medium details with a 9600 pro with 512 megs of ram.
You'll be fine with pc.
May hafta do a few tricks, as in no hdr, no bloom, and medium models with high res textures.
If you have an hdtv, and it's 1080p and not 720p (which is the norm) you'd get the most out of it.
Otherwise, I'd go with pc.
Get half life 2 package for mediocre PC system or 360?
