I have been wanting to get GOTY and it's $7.49 for just that at gog.com but $13.49 for the whole shebang is awesome!

Holy cow, now that I keep looking, this IS going to be an expensive week. Gee thanks Steam and Gog. But I can make $20 go a LONG way.

I've been waiting to play some of these game for a while and now that they're cheap...well, its just going to be a fun winter break

 

Damn. I thought I was nearly done with PC gaming and Steam decides to go berserk on me. Within 15 seconds I'm contemplating Mirrors Edge, GTA 4, Stalker and Champions Online.

 

Just bought Silent Hunter 4 for $9.99, have been wanting to try that game for a long time. I am kinda waiting out for the next set of "special" in 40hrs time.

 

Not just you, I too cannot control myself - it's like when you're at a free buffet and you're trying to plan how and what you're going to eat. This is the gamer's equivalent of a %50-off shoe sale!

PayPal has just blocked my account because they suspect all the recent activity is malicious - next time Steam should inform them ahead of time!

 

Mirrors Edge and Stalker are now mine. Thanks for the heads up op, probably wouldn't have noticed this until it was too late myself.

 

hmm, anyone know how to resolve auto disputes in PayPal? Seems its not as easy as I thought and I'm going to be super-pissed if it takes 3 days to confirm my address, by which time the sale is long over.

I'm banking on mine running it fairly well, I essentially have the same lappy but with a slightly higher processor. I've looked up youtube vids of people playing it and its definitely do-able.

well its at 75%, and i started downloading it almost 2 hours ago...

I just checked my settings, and I thought that I had put that I was closest to Chicago, but apparently it set me as Canada-Toronto (I live in western Wisconsin), so I just changed it back to Chicago and now im getting a consistent 1.3-1.5 MB/s

I think I will be getting IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 and KOTR for $5 each. Nice little Christmas present to myself. I haven't played either of those games before so it should definitely keep me occupied over Christmas break.

its a hospital so no. im just lucky i can get on the forums. 1 hour a day usage for brousing but i can still get on the forums unlimited

It will reject your payment. Needs to have a US Billing address. It will see it on your CC or Paypal payment.

There are workarounds but i dont think it will work for a region locked game. A lot of Aussies did it to get the US Uncut version of L4D2

I dont think gifting will work as its still region locked. Give it a try though.

insta-bought GTAIV at $7.50

I would have bought it for $14.99 (that was my threshold)- and I believe it was 29.99$ until now.

I decided 14.99 was my threshold because that is what it costs on amazon. I just figured I shouldn't have to pay more than that for it, but I wanted it on steam, not a boxed copy.

$7.50? That is a no brainer. Hope they make a ton of cash on GTAIV and continue to support the PC platform.

May even buy additional copies for friends at this price.

 

GTA IV is also blocked in my region. I am planning on getting the Unreal Pack though.
