Steam calculator has been around for a long time: steamcalculator.com and similar thread when through here a while ago, but the site seems to be down at the moment. It's a bit overwhelming to see the listed value when for me I probably only spent 20% of what was listed.

    Here's mine:

This selection includes 426 items, is valued at $5783.61, and requires 1573.56 GB

Huh, seems I got the smallest steam account. I spent nowhere near that much though, for certain. Haven't gotten many recent games for the last couple years XD

This selection includes 224 items, is valued at $3256.14, and requires 1036.07 GB

Considering I've been a Steam member since August 2004 (wow 8.5 years), even at full listed value, that's only $56/month.

For me it's since 2009. Not even 4 years yet. But really most of my stuff was all bundles, humble bundles and sales. And a bunch of other free stuff that I happened to get too because I knew someone working on some games and I got keys from him now and then. If I've spent $1000 on steam, that'd be a lot. Still remember Terraria 4 pack for $7.50 and THQ pack for $25 and eidos pack for $50... those were some good summers and christmases....

Woohoo, I have the smallest! But actually, it lists the current prices for these things on Steam. Even though a few of the games were gifts, I paid more than that amount for the rest of them.

There is also this cool website:
Lambent Stew - Steam Time Analysis
Now if we could incorporate these two websites to also calculate "best bang for the bang" rate that would be awesome :D.

This might be a bit esoteric, but if everyone is spending significantly less money than the value of their accounts, then the values of the accounts are not being calculated accurately. I would start by defining value, but by my definition of value, I would take the number you get and divide by at least 5, probably 10. I've got a $1500 account with 150 games, but I've only spent maybe $250-300 on a few AAA games and <$50 on indie game bundles, and a few standalone indie games, mostly through the humble bundle folks. The fact that those games are sold individually for about $10 each doesn't make the collection of them in a single account worth $1500. There's no one on earth who would pay that much for the account (including me!), so there's no way to justify that number as the value of the account.

These results might be better labelled as "cost-of-instantaneous-account-duplication", which I think is a more realistic name for the result, and of course is less practical than "value" (which these results are not)

There are some points where I need to agree with you but still...

"This selection includes 358 items, is valued at $6211.14, and requires 2132.78 GB"

    "Games Owned: 331
    Current Total: $5514.1
    Minimum Total: $3154.21
    Maximum Total: $6208.34"

...and what did I pay for them? Well at least 1000$, but I think it's around 1500-2000$, so it's at least around 50% of the calculated minimum worth, as I didn't buy that many Indie Games...
