I have a big problem with this regard. While i do speak a bit of german, i would much prefer my games to be in English. I bought HL2/CS:S/Dod:S from a local retailer and Steam allowed me to install the games in English.

Then i bought FEAR, and i dont think there is a language option to change the language to English. So the game is as good as useless to me.

So i want to know, is there any online retailer or brick-mortar store where i can go and purchase english versions of the game ? Or the only option is to buy them from UK/US sites and get them shipped to Germany ?

This is not QUITE what you're asking for, but I live in Switzerland, and I order all my games to date from Amazon.co.uk or Play.com. However, I know that retailers here are supposed to be able to order English games for you if you ask. Without knowing what retailers there are in Germany, I can't say if one gets English games in on the shelf - but couldn't you go and ask them to get a copy in for you?
