I recently purchased a Zotac NVDIA GEFORCE 9500 GT card (ZT-95TEH2P-FSL). The card has 3 ports, 2 DVI and 1 port that kind of looks like S-Video but you connect the included adapter and you can either connect S-Video or Component. The card also includes a DVI to VGA adapter and a DVI to HDMI adapter.

The VGA and HDMI adapters work fine, however when I connect to the S-Video or Component my graphics card does not see the extra monitor???

    OS: Vista 64
    HP p6180t

Guessing your GPU is looking for a metadata stream to identify the monitor, and the SVid and component hookups aren't sending one back (or the coverter isn't tranmsitting it properly). Do you have another display to test out the singal on? At least you might be able to track down where the signal is being lost. But if you can use the HDMI signal, why not just use that? It's higher quality anyway.

This is going to be an HTPC and I want to try and power out either S-Video or Component and HDMI at the same time. Note - when testing I did remove the HDMI connection to make sure it was not an output through both sources at same time cause. The tv I am testing it on works fine from another pc's TV-out.

I am thinking it either has to do with the graphics driver or that port on the card is damaged.

The adapters I am using came with the graphics card so the card should recognize them provided the drivers are correct. I downloaded the latest drivers from NVDIA.

    Ok. It works.

    After rebooting it works.

The gpu supports 2 displays, not 3. So while I have my pc connected to a monitor I can't output to both HDTV/Component at same time. However, once I am finished setting it up and remove the monitor from the picture I should be able to use both HDTV and Component at same time.

    Thanks.

Now, if I can only get the internal S/PDIF so that I can have audio over the HDMI to work but that should be another thread... :)
