Hello there, I am planning on buying a dv9500 with a 8600m GS 512, will i be able to run Cs Source and Halo 2 and a constant 100 fps if all possible? ANd will I be able to run shadow run at a constant 100 fps as well. I can play low res, it does not matter.

Also is 64 bit operating system better than the 32 bit ones and is the 1650 res better than the 1440 one?

    Cheers!

Why would you want to run at 100FPS all the time? I can tell you right now that you won't be able to get that kind of performance with the 8600M-GS. You'll need a desktop rig with a top-end graphics card to achieve that.
Don't bother with 64-bit Vista, it has compatibility issues and very few manufacturers support it.
A higher resolution means you can fit more stuff on the screen . . . generally higher resolutions are viewed as 'better.'

I ran a almost constant 100 fps with the nvidia go 7600 256, so hopefully it can run 100 fps on source, are you sure?

    At the lowest settings, maybe.

You do know that even if the video card renders 100FPS, the screen can't display all those frames so it doesn't matter. Most laptop screens can display 60FPS at most.
