    Battlefield 2142
    Bioshock
    Company of Heroes
    Medal of Honor Airborne
    FEAR

you will be able to run all those at max settings with stuff like true shadows turned off and no AA also if you tone down the res to something like 1024 x 768 or 1280 x 800

With the 8600M GT, you should be able to play F.E.A.R with settings on high except for a few. Soft shadows should be off - that kills your GPU. The dynamic (or whatever it's called) lighting shouldn't be on high either. Most other things can be topped up, except perhaps some lower than max AA and AF would be a good idea. That's how I play F.E.A.R very well on my 8600M GT.

I have the 8400m GT and I played the bioshock demo at high settings with 1280x800 resolution. Only things I turned off was realtime reflection and force global lighting (I think this is used when you don't have dynamic lighting or something). I have the actor details set to medium, but the texture detail set to high. I'm not sure what the fps was since I don't really know how to check that, but the game ran very smooth for me, even when there were multiple splicers on the screen. I just bought the full game off of ebay for $30, I don't know if I will have to change the settings or not for the full game, let's hope not.

As for BF2142, I'm playing that at 1280x800 resolution with high settings, but with the dynamic lighting and dynamic shadows turned to medium, and I have 2x AA, all other settings at high. The game ran very smooth as well, no lags whatsoever. I'm planning on turning up dynamic shadow and dynamic lighting one at a time to see how that affects the game though. Hope that helps.

I'm not too sure about FSX...I heard it was a VERY demanding game.

Well, FSX on Low-Med would work I guess.

DiRT is a very good game. But I'm not sure if 1520 can handle it...
