    Hi,
My HP DV5-1015TX notebook with the Nvidia 9600M GT (vista x86) is currently running on version 7.15.11 (downloaded from the HP site).

I think there are newer versions of the drivers for this (from laptopvideo2go) and wanted to know if there could be any problems if I get those drivers and try them out? I plan to try only the WHQL certified ones.
I think this would not void any warranty from HP (isn't it)?

Also if anyone here has updated their drivers for this card, please let me know which is the recommended version to get.

    TIA

You wont void your warranty by updating to non-WHQL drivers. All the drivers on lv2g will lose their WHQL status when you install anyway due to the modified inf. Try my sig for a rough guide on how to install them (although your card will be different).

Not all the drivers on lv2g. The ones that are manufacturer specific or the ones that include most manufacturers (e.g. 174.74) will stay WHQL. You only lose WHQL if you have to mod the inf.
