my friend has a vgn n365e , with a T2450 (2M Cache, 2.00 GHz, 533 MHz FSB), 2gb of ram, intel gma 950 type chip, and XP pro was put on it...

were trying to get source based games to run it, since its native OS was vista there might be incorrect or not fully optimized display drivers installed, so far team fortress 2 is basically unplayable, with a complete lowest settings and heavily edited configs...

my mission after seeing some youtube videos of people running (possibly fakes) cs source fairly ok on a gma 950 chip, is to be able to run source games (all lowest, doesnt matter) at "playable framerates"..

what can be done to achieve this? modded drivers? gpu emulation software? or is it a dead end, or what source config/settings can i try, im guessing most of you tampered with this stuff already, all ideas are welcome

Not all Source games are equal. Team Fortress 2 demands way more than Counter-Strike: Source, and Left 4 Dead demands way more than TF2.

Consider DIY ViDock, using $50US PM3/PE4 + $70US HD4670 + 12V notebook 60W DC adapter + external LCD + ensure compatibility (more likely with 2GB). Games will run far better.

    Here xD

Install modded drivers, get those commands in-game to boost your FPS, make the proper shortcuts to the game ( -dx8 -novid, etc etc ) , and good luck =)
