Just wondering what's available in high-end gfx cards at the moment. I think they've reached 1gb for desktops? Or am i dreaming? Just looking for some information on gfx cards now and what will be available in the near future. If someone could point me in the right direction it'd be appreciated.

nvidia's Geforce go 7800GTX is the fastest gpu available for notebooks at this moment, which comes with 256 mb of ddr3 ram. and yes! it is possible to have 1gb of dedicated gpu's memeory if you use two 7800GTX graphics cards with 512MB each in a SLI system.

for more info about graphics cards, you can look into this thread http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=39568

Well, the highest gaming-oriented video card for desktops has 512MB of memory. Video cards in laptops only go up to 256MB right now.

Yeah, be sure to read the guide onick posted.
