So I just got my Dell E1505 and I'm curious as to how well (if at all) GRAW will play on it.

    My system:

    E1505
    Core 2 Duo 2.0 Ghz
1 Gb DDr Ram 533 mhz
    256 MB ATI x1400

    Game min requirements:

    2.0 Ghz P4
512 mb RAM (i think that was it, maybe it was 1 gig)
    128 mb graphics

does anyone have experience with this game and a similar system setup? I would really love to play this game but i dont want to waste the money if it wont run at least have decently. (i am on my way to download the demo now, but i was just curious as to everyones experieinces here)

thanks in advance for the help,

    mike

EDIT: I realize that my specs meet the minimum, but ive heard a lot about this game being a resource hog and not to touch it if you only have the minimum. but i was thinking that maybe the C2D beat the P4...thanks

I recently bought GRAW, only installed it on my desktop:
    -3.2GHz Intel Pentium 4 w/HT (Northwood)
    -2GB Corsair XMS
    -256MB ATI Radeon 9800XT

Haven't had a chance to install it on my laptop yet. However, don't expect to run it on good settings. My 9800XT is much more powerful than the X1400, and it can barely handle it on 800x600 at medium-high.

Download the demo first, by all means. It feels (and runs) like a direct port from the 360, but it is a fun game.

your x1400 registers about 2000 points on 3dmark 05, GRAW on my desktop with a 6600 has 2100 points on 3dmark05. I set everything on lowest settings 800x600, min graphics.. so on. It was NOT playable. went at like 8 frames per second. Horrible.

My pc is 3.06 ghz pent 4
    512 ram
    gforce 6600

jointhedarkside, i think the reason you lagged so bad was more due to your lack of ram more then it was your gpu's fault

though i'm not saying the x1400 will get it to run fast either

i heard that GRAW isn't really such a great/fun game

how do you guys find it?

EDIT: i'm pretty sure that it was your ram that was bottlenecking your system jointhedarkside as i just checked out the minium requirements and 1024mb ram was min. you would have much better frame rates then 8fps if you had more ram, the desktop 6600 imo is a lot better then the x1400

It ran 1024x768, medium-high on my desktop, with an average of 45-50FPS. That's perfectly good for me!

I have 2GB and a 7600 and I still can not play it at 1024x768 resolution.
I have to play it at 800x600 at medium
My advice, unless you are absolutely sure you like this game, otherwise dont play it, maybe it just me but I dont find it good or fun but anoying, plus it require alot, even more than FEAR.
And your system can play this game at 800x600 at medium i think, maybe 1024-768 at low.
    Cheer!

GRAW is a horrible port that is not optimised at all - it runs pretty poor even on mid-range cards, I would honestly love to see it running on the minimium requirements as per the box....

I played it on 1280*800. I set most of the setting on low, and it still wasn't smooth.

On my x1400 I was able to run it at about 20-30 FPS on low to mid settings and 800x600 but still you feel like it was some kind of choppy.
