Global MU Onlline

Just wondering if there are any who have played this game. Could you give me your opinions on it? It is a F2P with P2P option MMORPG developed by K2 Networks (I've been trying out a lot of their free games lately - namely War Rock).

I've played it before. It's fun, but it takes very long to level and becomes boring. There are many hackers on-line (at least back when Webzen owned it). Overall, I think it's worth a try though.

 

Thanks for the opinion. You're right, it was worth a try although leveling up your charaacter becomes tedious after about lvl 60. However I thinks it's a great f2p mmorpg. There are quests, guilds, special events and loads of weapons; an best of all, you don't have to pay a cent for these features. Suscribers get extra events, weaker monsters, and extra servers.
Its been about a week since I started. Now I'm a lvl 70 Dark Knight (DK) with full +2+8 Dragon Armour and a +1 Bill of Balrog.
Only thing I miss is having a minimap; this game requires that you learn and memorize each and every map (which I take as a challenge). Quests are only available for very high level players though which I think they should definitely change. Other skills such as crafting, cooking, smithing, etc. found and other rpgs are noticably lacking although its does have strength/agility/energy/vitality skills. The interface could use some upddating as this is a 3-year-old game.
Available classes include the Dark Knight, Dark Wizzard, and Elf. Once you reach level 250 (which will take a while), you have the option to make a new hybrid character, either the Dark Lord or Magic Gladiator (these are all simplified to DK, DW, E, DL, MG).
All in all, its a nice game with interesting graphics.... I really like some of the maps, especially the underwater Atlens. Take a look (yep that red thing in the middle with the scythe is me):

 

Yes, I agree that it is a great game (especially since it's free). I actually stopped playing this game for a while now, but occasionally I do join private servers for a short time(My main reason is that my account on the official server was hacked. That and the experience is too slow on the official server). However, now that it's owned by another company, I'm sure there aren't as many hackers/cheaters going around .

i played this

i played it then got bored at lvl 50+, so i started going to this private server with exp 25x and drop rate 20x

i think it was mukidz or something (despite the gay name, it was actually quite a good private server)

still hard, but managed to make it to 1 reset and lvl 280+ (still quite a feat as exp was only 25x and the last 50 lvl = the first 250 lvls)

had a exc dragon thunder set +11+12, dark wings +11+12, and exc dragon staff+11+12

was a MG


was much more fun in private sever cause you get to go party with peeps in DS, BC, and other such events (since private server game had more stuff to do)

you could play battle soccer (was **** FUN), form guilds, go mass killing, etc...

 

Hey,
Having fun leveling up my second character (a hybrid agility/energy elf). The game's not so bad once you reach level 80 and can go to the Lost Tower level where all the expensive monster drops are.... Anyone get a hold of the Christmas drop item yet? Can't seem to myself.

This is the 1st MMORPG I've ever played. It look and feel so good at that time. Now after Guildwars and LineAge2 it dont look so great.
May I suggest you try out the new Cabal online at www.cabalonline.net, it free and I think if you like MU you may like this.

How can I get an invitation code for this game? I've been looking around the site and I cant find a way to play without being invited.

 

Game loks great... Yeah, I'm trying to get the exactly same thing. Try posting in the Game & Game forums.... ppl there dont seem very hepful though. Anubissx, I'd really appreciate it if you could send me an invite at [email protected]... it would be my only christmas present this year

Seriously..Go play guild wars..its soo much better..this is just another usual MMORPG where you go around kill monsters for exp and golds ..theres no point..had a lvl 69 ..got bored after that

 

Have guild wars, got VERY tired of it. Right now I just want to craft a good character. I dont care if its a classic hack and slash Diablo esque RPG.
