They are both 256 MB with a C2D (2.0) and 2 GB of RAM
Does anyone know which one is better at getting better fraps and good settings on games?

The ATi card (due to a 128 bit bus) is VERY slightly faster. If you are tossing up between the cards, look at the other options of the notebooks to base your decision on (asthetics, battery life, screen quality, etc) as the performance of these two cards is very similar.

I know for sure that the X1400 is better than the 7400go, but not significantly. When you're playing games, the X1400 will probably be faster by a few fps, but the 7400go has better support running on linux. If you aren't planning on doing graphics in linux, buy the X1400 for better gaming performance.

As Sylvain mentioned, let the two graphic cards be the least of your worries when you select between two notebooks. The difference between the cards is not significant.

Go to Chaz's graphic card comparison guide. He mentioned that X1400 is faster than 7400go.

The X1400 card will have better performance in games but the 7400 will have better support in applications (Avid, AutoCad, Maya etc)

The Go 7400 and the X1400 have similar performance in games, so I would not say this can be a decision-making factor.

Other than that, I personally would choose the HP dv6000t over the Dell E1505 because the HP is simply better in terms of quality and design.

How much money will you spend on this notebook?

You can buy so much better notebooks such as the Asus S96J or Compal HEL80 for the same amount of money.

    256MB ATI Mobility V5250
    256MB ATI Mobility FireGL V5200

Will they out do the X1400 and 7400?

Those two are based on more powerful gpus (the X1700 and X1600 respectively) but are more optimised for workstation operations and not games. Having said that it's likely they would both outperform the X1400 and go 7400 by a decent margin in games.

    x1400 is more powerful

7400 seems to have better battery life.
