What's the difference? Sony's AR series has both options.

I will definitely add it to the list. I'm not sure of the chip's specs and/or any benchmarks, so I can't put it in there right now. I'm sure it would be faster than the Go7600 naturally, as well as the X1600.

The AR requires a minimun dual 160gb hd to install the 7600GT...which makes it about $600 extra. Just the vid card upgrade without counting the hd, it costs $250 more. I'm thinking it's probably not worth it, might as well get more memory.

The 7600GT should have a few extra pixel pipelines(4), as well as the mhz of the memory and cpu of the graphics card should also be faster. I would guess around 30% faster overall. It's a better card, but not worth $600 extra!!

EDIT: It should be 12 pipelines for the 7600, and 16 for the 7600GT.

You also get the premium finish and much better WUXGA display with the $250 too. I think it's silly that they make you upgrade to 2x 80GB drives to get that. Easy way for them to make money ..

Ooo, thanks for the explanation guys. I don't think I'll be playing that intensive of games. Maybe one day if I could get the card separately without the screen and harddrive upgrade...mayyyyyybe.
