    How does the 7700 512mb compare to a 7900 with 265mb?

I want to get a asus a8 with the 7700 or i wanted to get a asus f8 with a 8600gs. I know how the 8600gs performs but i want to know how the 7700 performs compared to the 7900gs or compare to the 8600 gs?

The Go 7900 GS should be about two times faster than the Go 7700. The 8600M GS and the Go 7700 perform around the same. Memory on the Go 7700 has very little impact on actual performance. For example, the 256 MB graphics card will perform similarly to the 512 MB version.
