Heyyy my graphics card says it has "Nvidia Purevideo" but when I went to watch a youtube video in 1080p my cpu utilization was 99% which is strange. Someone told me I have to buy the decoder ? but I payed $150 for the gpu upgrade in my xps m1710 and shouldn't it be free if my graphics card says it features pure video ? because my $40 sonly bdp s-300 is cheap and plays videos better in hd :/![]()
help would be insisted ?

Have you checked that you're running the latest drivers?

Yes im running the latest driver's from nivida which are 179.48 I believe oh and your profile says we both live in sc.

Neat.
Anyway, I Googled Purevideo and it looks like you indeed need to purchase it if you need it: PureVideo Decoder | NVIDIA. Probably, the "PureVideo" label on the GPU might simply mean that it's able to run the software. Anyway, there's a 30-day trial so download it and see if it improves things. -
Did you check if hardware acceleration enabled in flash?
Go 7950GTX and Youtube o.O ?
