Is this the same that was released on playstation 3 years ago? Or it's a new one?

It was released in 2018 for PS4. It's the first proper release in the Norse Mythology GoW series.

Crazy times we live in, this game defined the PS4.

PC is also getting Uncharted 4 and the lost legacy remastered repackaged as legacy of thieves collection.

Man I hope they bring Ghost of Tsushima next..
    That game is beautiful

I'm waiting for Spider-Man (PS4). The only game that I'm missing from not having a PS4/PS5 and I really want to play. The other one was death stranding, but that one is on PC already.

Im so glad I held out. I held out in hopes for Horizon: Zero Dawn and finally got to play it. I just got to listen to a Canadian buddy reticule me for hoping GoW makes it to PC and let me say today was satisfying in more ways than one lmao.

Hopefully its in better shape than Horizon on release but I am looking forward to it.

I feel like I should rename the thread to Sony Games coming to PC as Bloodborne was also just confirmed in development for PC. Good times.

Yeah, boi, might grab GOW once it goes on sale.

Uncharted 4 also will get a PC IIRC.

oh now this is good news!

I tried Bloodborne on PC with PSNow. while playable, it wasn't a great experience. Lag and low resolution are no fun.

I don't know much about this God of War but from the pics it seems that for the whole game you've got that kid running around. This may be an unpopular view, but it's a big turnoff for me. I don't know, I just find kids annoying, lol.

I was definitely thinking, Bloodborne might be the only game that would make me want a PS. I grey marketed Demon's Souls asia release for PS3, loved it. I kind of got tired of the souls formula near the end of Dark Souls (never finished it). Tried to get into DS2 but didn't make it far before the thought of re-grinding everything over and over made me stop. The new setting of Bloodborne is going to make me want to grab that though. It's probably been long enough since I've played a souls game to get back into it to play that to the end.

Its actually a part of the charm since you get to witness the struggles they have from their unorthodox relationship as well as just watching him mature overall as the game progresses.

From what i have watched though there are some parts where you wish Kratos would just lop his head off, but without the struggle as for most things in life its not as rewarding.

Definitely see your point though, not disagreeing just an additional .02 to put in the pot. Also the exposition dumps are passive, which is truly appreciated imho

I'm about the same. I have so many games I haven't started or finished. About all I'm playing now is BF2042 2-3 hours a day. I'd like to play GoW at some point.

Gamepad just seems natural for these types of games. I pretty much play all these type of games with gamepad. The number of games I use mouse/kbd with is diminishing, especially as I get older it's just more comfortable.

Especially on titles that emphasis close quarters melee, I do ok with keyboard/mouse with something like tomb raider but even then I'd be on the fence either way.

Though I would jump on GOW myself, but that upcoming Hitman 3 release looks too good to pass.
    And of course Uncharted 4.

At a certain point where you have to help the kid and it starts a cinematic it crashes repeatedly for me so I'm stuck until a fix comes along. Game sure uses a lot of system ram even on original settings, over 7gb at times and at the same time uses a lot of vram too, at least 4gb of my 6gb. I turned down a few things even below original and it still crashes.

To me it doesn't look as good as the original TW3 but I guess I can run that at all high/ultra 2k since it's so old, expected this to look better even at 1k original settings since it came out in 2018. Another thing is the non skippable cinematics, I feel that if I could skip the part where the kid is yelling for help the game could continue on. I use a gamepad but it's definitely a bit too fast panning. It's definitely not a great port right now.

BTW the patches fixed my crashes so I've been playing the game for a few days consistently. Idk I mean the art and animations are astounding no question. Uh the story seems alright I guess I'm not a GOW aficionado or anything last one I played was the first one on a PS2, standard fare. It is like a hack n slash buddy game with some tomb raider and super hero-ized lol. I have it at all original 1080 DLSS ultra performance 50-60fps and it doesn't look astounding graphically, muddy tbh. I wish there was the option to skip cutscenes as there are a TON of them here wouldn't mind skipping every other one or so but I guess if they had that the game would be shockingly short and threadbare. It seems a very limited "open world" imo and for what I've seen the install size seems excessive. For 64gb it seems bloated, for 36gb TW3 complete edition has so much more of a populated world. For a 2018 game seems overpriced as well. Even with the patches this uses over 7gb of system ram at times usually always over 5gb and around 2.5gb vram, wow.

The panning speed is really strange, I use an xbone pad, and it takes away camera control too much which gives me a bit of motion sickness at times. In game upgrade/store UI seems convoluted. I plan on powering through it then freeing up the space right after.
