GAME OVER! Thanks for playing!
Hello everyone. Gog.com is having a 60% off sale on their UbiSoft catalog and since I'm in a giving mood, I thought I'd have a little giveaway. I'm doing this for a few reasons:
- For one, I detest Ubisoft's current DRM scheme. Gog.com allows you to own their games free of DRM, download and use any time without need for constant internet connection
- Kind of goes hand in hand with the first item, DRM free games. The way it used to be, the way it should be. Buy it, own it. I want to support a company that supports us with this kind of DRM free software.
- Older games are good too. So many great games get overlooked or are overpriced when released or just released with bad timing (i.e. a half dozen AAA titles release at same time, leaving a gem unnoticed). There's some great picks here.
For this giveaway, like my others, I have a few rules. I will be offering up to two games for six people (two winners each day), total cannot exceed $8. So you can pretty much get two of any game in the list, except the two that are $8, you get that one and only that one if you choose it.
Please read and abide by these rules or you are disqualified:
(1) One giveaway each day: Sat 10/13, Sun 10/14, Mon 10/15 when I feel like picking winners.
(2) Winners will be drawn at random.
(3) In order to enter you must have been an NBR user since September 2012 or earlier with at least 10 posts. I just want to reward existing members for their contribution here and not encourage spamming to join the site.
(4) You can enter up to two game choices up to $8 total (i.e. two games @ $4 or one game @ $8) from the list here: http://forum.notebookreview.com/gam...-two-winners-day-sat-sun-mon.html#post8889471 or at Gog's site here: GOG.com
(5) You can only win one time (up to two games) in the 3 day stretch, but your entry will be used for each of the three days, so you do NOT have to enter each day. If you enter multiple times, only your latest entry will be counted, all previous entries will be deleted. Note that spammers will be disqualified completely. Please don't ruin it for others.
(6) Winners will be posted in this post at the bottom, and it is the responsibility of each winner to claim their prize by the end of the gog.com sale or else they forfeit their prize. You should PM me here at NBR to claim your prize. I will provide you with the activation codes for the games
(7) You must be of legal age and abide by legal laws of your local, city, state, country to enter such a contest and/or own or play the games.
(8) Last but not least... if you enter, leave a post in this thread, just sharing something fun about gaming, or whatever... just keep the thread alive so others can join in.
