    DO 7200 RPM make more noise than 5400 cuz the 7200 i got now is soooooo noisy thats one of the reasons il exchange it.

    Most *good* 7200 drives nowadays are barley more audible than a 5400, you really can't tell. But if you get a high density 5400 drive, it can be almost as fast as a 7200, and run silent and cool. Just look at New Egg for a good 7200 drive and look at the reviews. I always liked Seagate. :)

    it should work and shouldn't really make noise but really all hard drives make noise...if u want something totally quiet , get an SSD...
