Ive been looking for a new laptop but here in the UK its almost impossible to find i series 4th gen. Whats a good GPU to look out for and is it worth waiting for the 4k series?

What is a "4K series" GPU? Also, what is affordable to you? Finally, what do you expect to play on it and at what settings?
-
This UK site has laptops with 4th Generation Intel Core Haswell CPUs but may be out of your budget.

might be worth posting here > What Notebook Should I Buy? - A Laptop Buyers Guide
lots of 4th gen laptops available from clevo/msi/alienware but without knowing what you want it for and if your a gamer or not then it would be an impossible task for us to answer.
