Uhm... the US is almost always first for games. Europeans are typically left waiting, and waiting, and waiting. Feel privileged, we are more often than not.

I almost forgot about Project Offset (working title ;)). Hell if anyone knows when it's going to be done, but it's looking excellent. It's not really an RPG, it's an FPS in a massive fantasy settings. But I imagine it will appeal to Oblivion fans, since Oblivion is more of an RPG for shooter fans.

How did I neglect to mention DEUS EX???
It's another oldie, but if you can get by the slightly dated graphics and the fact that your character always wears sunglasses, it's brilliant and you will be sucked into it like THAT.

I played Titan Quest and its expansion Immortal Throne and have to say I loved every minute of it. There's so much you can do with your character based on the 8 masteries (9 including the expansion). Check out the forums on this game and I don't think you'll be disappointed. Believe it or not, I haven't played Diablo II (mainly because I never really had a nice computer), but I've played a lot of the console RPGs including: Balder's Gate, Balder's Gate II, Champions of Norrath, Champions of Norrath - Return to Arms and Heroes.

I just picked up Dungeon Siege 2 and it's expansion on ebay. I downloaded the demo and it is a good pick-up and play.

DAMN Vampire the Masquerade bloodlines is a sweet rpg game. There are many bugs that hinder the game and prevents it from being a classic, but many fan-made patches are constantly released to make it more stable.

The storyline in this game is probably the best i've ever experienced. I dont play games much, but the storyline is so intriguing that i couldnt put it down. The game is long and takes many many hours to complete

You could probably find a cheaper price on ebay. But that game is almost impossible to find on my local stores.... walmart, gamestop, bestbuy, circuitcity......

Yea Age_of_Wind, I own it and have beaten it a couple times now.

I can't compare it to Titan Quest but DS2 is very similar to Diablo in general.

Its definitely worth picking up, although the expansion is not and the multiplayer for DS2 died from lack of support.

    Awesome single player RPG though.

I've heard so much about this game and I definitely will be getting it, can you give us more insight? :)

that's not out yet, lol. Most addictive mmorpg i've ever played = ragnarok online. I think I'm going to stay away from those mmorpg's from now on because they can get too addictive. I'll stick with final fantasy's and oblivion maybe.

I love Oblivion. Is Gothic 3 open-ended like OB or less ? What about the combat system ?

the combat system is pretty similar.

but i don't know about open ended. i only played the demo. but it seemed like i could do what ever.

the interface is a bit different to oblivion, and took me a little while to get used to it. i'd reccomend downloading the demo and giving a try before you buy it.

I have no idea why nobody has said it yet, But Arx Fatalis kicks SO much ass.

Also, while not specifically RPG's, the games Thief: the Dark Project, and Thief II: the Metal Age, kick unbelievable amounts of ass.

Hmm, good point. It was published by Jowood, its considered a "spiritual successor" to the ultima underworld games. Very amazing game, you actually have to move your hand in a certain way to cast spells, you CAN hack your enemies to bits in combat with your sword, its form a first-person point of view, amazing story, etc. I love it.

If you want a classic, screw the PC and get an N64 and Ocarina of Time, probably won't cost more than 50$

It also has the crappiest dialog I've ever heard! The camera is a bit annoying (it doesn't move with your char, you move it). And you can only play as a human male (the other races/gender is available in multiplayer). I've only played for 5 min, so I don't know much more. Gonna update it and play a bit more.

Icewind Dale 2. The reason for ID2 is that you create all six characters and dont have to worry about recruiting. Then you are off for good ol' fashioned dungeon crawling...

    Later,
