Buy it from Steam as the Steam version removed Securom.

    Good luck.

HELL NO! Too many things that can go wrong. If your gonna buy it, go the 100% legit route. Either STEAM, EA Store or boxed copy.

Was like $33 for the store box copy from Amazon. I passed up on it for a digtial version since I dont like to have to use a disk.

Kinda wish I had gotten it know though lol since the EA Store version is giving me a lot of trouble. (digital version)

Steam should reduce the price to compete with the other places selling it cheaper.

I bought a key off of ebay worked great until last week got some weird deactivated key thing.. I chatted with an EA CS rep and they gave me a brand new key lol. Didn't say why the previous key was deactivated.. I had uninstalled it properly and reinstalled it on my new replacement M11x.. but either way EA was nice enough to supply me a new key I used to install again via an ISO. So I suggest going the safer route.

Vicious - I know it's way late now, but a boxed version can be activated to not use a disc. Also for backup you can activate your retail key on EA download manager so you can d/l the game that way too, same exact as what you bought off ea store.. anyway, for future reference. Many newer EA games are like this now including Mass Effect 2. Not sure about DAO though.

Bought my copy off ebay and I've had no problems. It was the regular edition still sealed in plastic wrap and sticker, in the DVD case. I'd say make sure of what you're bidding on i.e. are you just going to get a key, a sealed case, where did the seller get his copy from, etc. If the answers don't sit well with you then you might as well get it from somewhere reliable like Steam or Impulse. I thought about going the EADM route before someone brought up the $20 sale, but I read a horror story of EADM deleting files it shouldn't during uninstall and decided to stay away from that potential hassle.

yeah look at the seller feedback like mew said....ive bought and sold games on ebay before without a problem..

and to all who are saying get the digital version because you dont need the disk, on the retail version you dont need the disk either at least in multiplayer not sure about sp. but it sounds like the digital version has issues :)

Whatever the case , it is not a good idea to buy games from ebay even if the seller has 100% feedback. Like everyone has said , get it from amazon or steam.. they're way more reliable.

Whatever, if he wants to risk getting his copy of eBay let him. Just don't come in here and complain when your game doesn't work.
