    Hi guys,
I just got a MSI dragon Edition laptop with GTX680m. Before anyone suggest me to wait for the GTX780m, I have to say that I got the laptop at a stellar price so I'm not waiting anymore. If nothing else, I can always OC to the GTX clock speed. Anyways,
After testing, I got a 3D mark 11 score of P6124 under the Basic, Performance(P), Benchmark only, centered setting and a score of X2146 under the Extreme test. (I see the score on 3Dmark11's site being 6560?) When I switched to the defaulted advance mode, it came up with a result of 5836? Also in Heaven Engine 3.0 I have a min fps of 19 and a max of 142 where I don't see other GTX680m drop below 20.
However, when I did a quick run through of Crysis 2. MSI afterburner displayed 59.9 fps through the entire beginning with everything maxed out including DX 11.

So what do you guys think? I have the Nvidia 306.14 Driver under default factory settings, I changed nothing in the bios, Control Panel or other OC programs.

Temperature wise it stayed fairly cool in Crysis 2, 65 degree C and I'm getting 39 degrees C idle.

I used these guys' testing as references:

    and

I didn't get to the later part of the game in Crysis 2 so I can't say, but if I need to, I will play Crysis 2 again.

    congrats on your new laptop.

im getting P6195 with mark11 so your scores are fine. it can go up or down by 1-100 and normally no two runs of the benchmark will be the same.

what is the rest of your spec as it all helps towards the score slightly cpu/ram/ssd or spinle drive.

download 3dmark which you can find in my sig below. firestrike is the one to beat with that benchmark.

Thanks for replying, I have the i7 3630QM, 16GB ram. and 128 SSD setup in RAID 0 with 750 HDD as storage (this is problematic as well per my post http://forum.notebookreview.com/sol...low-ssd-write-speed-raid-0-a.html#post9196596, (I tried to test these with PC vantage but it always gave me failed as a result, it ran all the tests, and in the end gave me a fail =.=)

I forgot to mention, using 3D mark Vantage, I have a score of 21433 and I meant to say OC to GTX780 speed in this post, missed the "780" ;)

    Vsync.

Wait, are you concerned with the Crysis 2 framerate or the benchmark scores?

P22347 and the time before that P22515 here with Vantage. never used pc vantage before and dont think many do.

just seen your other post so wont bother mentioning crystal disk but you could try ssd life which will show if theres a problem with your disk but i doubt it.
ive never OC'd and dont intend to so cant advise on that.

I am concerned with the benchmark, I ran Crysis 2 just to see how the card actually performs

I'm going to do a fresh win7 installation and work from there cause I just can't get around Win8 and I will try again from there. Also try different games. Will be updating when I get the new set of result!

So I just installed a fresh copy of Win7; however, I have to use Legacy instead of UEFI and it shows this very annoying screen which I don't like. But it isn't a big deal. I can already see that the SSD in the MSI laptops are not on par with the one I have in the desktop because it has to load the windows logo completely to reach the desktop whereas my desktop boots almost instantly. Will install all the drivers and test it out.

You are performing at expected levels of performance. My stock score is the same as yours. You have a cool running, well performing GPU, nothing to worry about :D
