any ps3 owners here play it yet? freakin' awesome, but remember its still in its Demo mode and are still adjusting some of the things.

Read my other post at the PS Forum

if you haven't seen it yet heres some videos. i mean seriously, when i saw the commercials and those small clips of the cars racing, i thought it wasn't really the actual game play, but damn it looks exactly like it, and the sounds are amazing. so realistic!

Oh wow, I didn't even know it was out. I'll have to download when it I get home from work. I've had GT HD forever and beat all of that. I remember GT 2/3 awesome games.

a few minutes into the second video, I was shocked at the illusion - it's almost, almost real.

There were parts where I actually thought for a brief second that what I was watching actually happened.

    impressive

For me I think they need to work on the track and landscapes a little more. I very rarely watch any replays from driving games so having ultra high quality car models is a bit overkill. I'd rather be blasting though ultra realistic scenery!

I'm not disputing that it's stunning I just think sometimes game developers need to remember what people actually see when they're playing the game. (sorry I'm a grumpy old fart this evening!! :D)

I've played it, and honestly don't like it, it is still very much like the older versions of GT.

Comparing it to the Forza 2 Motorsport game for the Xbox 360, Forza beats it in just about every way.

I love GT, was my favorite video game, but it's almost the same, just tweaking the graphics up a bit.

For instance, you crash in Forza, and parts go everywhere, windows shatter, motor screws up, etc, in GT, nothing happens, you just bounce off the wall.

One thing I've noticed with GT, the replays always look better graphic wise than the actual playing.

GT is still an excellent game, but they just haven't gotten me back yet.

I never could get into Forza 2 myself, so who knows. The crashing part was nice though, that's one thing that all games with cars should have.

I personally prefer Forza 2 and PGR4 to GT5 (prologue), honestly. Its too much like just a graphical enhancement of GT4 that is taking waaaaaay too long to be released. Forza 2 has an excellent physics model, and PGR4 has an excellent graphics and weather model. GT5 is a compromise of the two, but I'd prefer Forza 2 and PGR4 to GT5. And of course, GT5 requires a PS3, which I don't want to buy.

yeah but have you seen those police car chases in the news? cars that just go 30mph crash and they crumble to pieces and no longer can run. sure forza is fun, but they said that if they cant create damage as realistically as possible they might just not do it. and plus in gt5 cars are going way faster than 30mph.

ive played forza on my cousins xbox and for some reason i did not like it, i mean the cars dont look that detailed and realistic compared to gt5, and the controls seem weird to me. i mean sure damage would be nice "novelty" but it would just ruin the game. i mean once you hit something your out of the race

It definitely "looks" a hell of a lot better than Forza 2.
