 can my gtx 260 run it? Ok jokes aside, I wasn't to impressed with how the game actually looks texture wise, but the physics blew me away. I can easily see how it could use up every bit of a quad core. Top that off with how much is constantly changing and that this game is going to include all of that when you play online with up to 32 people, are these requirements really that surprising? I'm not one for reading reviews I like watching them.

Sorry, but i still dont see why we need a quadcore mate, the explosions are wonderfull and stuff, and the whole game is perfect, but its not like filling your whole screen with debris..

Maybe mercenaries 2 is a crap game, and counts nothing against this, but it had everything destructible with using only 70% of my CPU's Power :D

    >.> I don't recall saying it needs a quadcore, nor does it say anywhere that it needs a quadcore. We should all know by now that the gpu is still going to be the limiting factor. Just because a system uses up every bit of a quadcore doesn't mean your gpu won't carry the weight at higher resolutions. Several post on here stated that they only tested the game at low resolutions with low end gpu's. That right there could explain why they think people need high end cpu's.

Even rts games like World in conflict that heavily rely on the cpu show a large fps increases with a high end gpu. Actually it almost looks like they gave two sets of recommenced systems. The AMD phenom x3 just barely matches a e8500 in several benchmarks. Come to think of it, it's actually been a while since I've even seen a AMD cpu show up as a recommended cpu on a game box. Anyways back on track, if a amd x3 is on the recommended section, any dual core cpu should be able to handle the game.

I can understand the need for a powerful pc. If you've played it on Xbox, you know GTA4 doesn't run well. FPS (from the naked eye) seems to hover in the mid-20s, with frequent drops. Also, looking at screens, the pc version is going to look a lot better. Guess we'll have to wait and see though.
