    Graphical colour anomalies

    I wonder if anybody knows the cause of my problem, or are experiencing the same thing themselves.

    Basically, my in-game graphics sometimes display rather unusual shades of colours, that (I think) shouldn't be there. It's best to give an example:

    e.g. HL2 - in dark areas particularly, such as caves, instead of seeing black or pure darkness on the walls etc., there is a purple tinge or shade. It isn't bright purple, so it's not soooo bad, but it can also sometimes be a rainbow of different colours!

    I'm just wondering if this is really normal, because it spoils the effect of having max effects turned on since it looks a little unrealistic!!

    I have an Acer 5920, 8600M GT 256, playing with max settings except AA and AF.
