Hello! I am a computer noob deciding between two laptops, one having an NVIDIA GeForce GT 635M GPU and the other a 650M.

However, the 650M in the one computer has only 1664MB memory, while the 635 has 2GB.

So my question is, which is more important the model or the amount of memory? I would like to know which card is better and by how much?

    Thank you!

The model of the video card is much more important. Can you provide us the links to these notebooks? That 1664 MB of video memory sounds off, it should be either 1 GB or 2 GB.

Regardless, the GT 650M is much faster than the 635M and can play most games fluidly.

The 1665 MB of video memory could be 524 MB of dedicated and 1gb of "shared with Main memory"

I agree that the 650m is much superior though.
