I cant play Splinter cell Conviction with my Dell XPS L501x. Its showing that : "Video Card : Nvidia GT435m Not supported". What does that mean? And my overall graphics quality is poor even though I ve a pretty decent Graphics Card of 2 GB memory. I used to play Crysis 2 with no power chord plugged in, that too max settings (just after i bought this) But now I cat play Warhead in normal settings. I've formatted laptop a few times. And now the graphics is all a mess. the lines are zig zagged like in old games like mario, dave etc. It all started after that formatting. Any one has any solution to offer?? I searched the net many times, but couldnt find one. Also this gets heated up like its placed in an oven. Even if i'm only watching a movie or surfing the net.Any one?

The overheating could have damaged the card, I hope not though. I would first try to clean out any dust that may have accumulated in your machine and see if temps are reduced. INstall hwinfo 32 or 64 bit version to monitor your temps also.
What driver is installed for the video card?
Does you machine have optimus ? IF NOT
I would recommend using the driver from here:

More info can be found via a site search - open bing.com

my driver version is 285.62, the latest one. How can i know if my laptop has optimus technology installed?? Right now, the only video driver is the Nvidia Driver. So i guess there is no optimus ..
