    Heya,

So.... i updated my VAIO from Win7 Home Premium to Win8, and then back to Win7 Pro after realizing that Sony isnt going to release win8 ATI graphics drivers... Hence i had to re-install drivers from the Sony Website and hence i downloaded the latest version of graphics driver recommended by the site..

Graphics Driver (ATI) Update version 8.723.8.2 : Download : Sony Asia Pacific

Graphics Card: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650

There used to be Catalyst Control Centre previously HOWEVER, after installing the update... there isnt any. Whats going on? My computer detects the graphics driver and shows no problem with it, plus my laptop hasnt been making much noise or heating up as much as well.... but what happened to the catalyst centre? Is it just me or has it happened to others as well?

    thnks,

    kash

I'm running the same GPU in my HP Envy 14. You should be able to download and install the latest mobility driver installer from AMD (might need the full installation package that doesn't check your system since a lot of OEM's are blacklisted by the regular installer by design). As long as you install it over a package that included graphics switching, you can maintain the GPU switching option while getting the best possible performance from your card, and it should install the latest CCC along with the drivers, a two birds with one stone thing.
