When I have my Laptop Plugged in i get 60fps on highish settings on CSS, but when i am on battery i only get like 20fps and my battery setting is set to High Performance is there something i can do to get my graphics card working at full? Because this down step thing sucks, there must be a option somewhere.

Did you make sure the CPU doesn't slow down too?

Yes Its only the GPU, the CPU is running at highest.

So when running on batteries, the CPU and GPU are still set to their highest settings?

You have me stumped there :\ Why would you want them running at high anyways? It only drains more battery. It would be better to turn graphic settings to low and enjoy a longer lasting battery, no?

Well The thing is i dont know where to check GPU settings on battery?
I Have set the cpu to 100% on Battery so its not that and i did the GPRIME 32m test on battery and got basically teh same time as in plugged in so its just the graphics card.

Yes I have no real use but i would really like to know how as it would be useful for me to know in the future.

    oooh I see now.

Go to control panel, and open up the Nvidia control panel - there might be something there!

Use riva tuner to check the clocks. they're probably running in low power 3d mode.

It's an absolute certainty, you just need to hunt down and see if it's your video cards software doing it, Windows software is doing it, or your HP laptop's proprietary software doing it. All 3 of the above usually include some power management features and one of them is turning things down.

Also just checked in Nvidia Control Panel
    On Battery:
    Core Clock: 169mhz
    Memory Clock:100mhz

    Plugged in:
    Core Clock: 400mhz
    Memory Clock: 602mhz

So this is obviously the problem but how can i change this?
