So I was playing around with my gpu drivers to see if I could reinstall them so I would not get this Catalyst centre stopped working error, but I have done more damage I think.
I uninstalled the drive from device manager, now it's just showing up as a standard VGA driver, and I can't get my ati drivers from my manufacture cd to even work. It tells me it's missing an INF file.
All these problems cause I just wanted to see if I could make the computer run better! I have the msi gt725-074.
Could anyone point me in the right direction to fix my problem?
I have tried the cd drivers that came with it, they gave me an error. I Installed another catalyst version, but it did not register in the device manager.
Confused man need help!
Edit: Alright so I got the device manager to realize I have an ATI HD 4850. So I'm back to where I was, before I was getting that error at each startup(at least it seems so right now).
I was looking up the updated drivers for ATI, which are catalyst 9.3, but when trying to get the right version, I can't seem to figure it out 100%. This chip is labeled as a Mobility Radeon, but there is no 4000 series in that category on the driver downloads listing. The only listing I can get that supports the 4000 series is for the desktop card. Will the desktop version work with this mobility laptop card?
