Alright so, i did the dxdiag and under Display devices it says
    Driver Version: 6.14.0011.6501 (English)
now on the website it seems like the most latest drivers 165.01 which is obviously nothing the same as what i found.
What does this mean? update? Or maybe i'm looking at something totally wrong?

Yes... you're looking at something wrong but not totally though.

I'll do my best to help you clear out your problem.

First, 165.01 is not the latest one, its being arrange at the top just because its being arrange in descending order where 165.01 has the highest number and for some reason LV2G didn't update the list for a fairly long time but still update in their forum and your system is installed with 165.01 as 6.14.001 1.6501.

The latest one is 169.04 and what OS are you using? I assume that you're using Vista x86 and here goes and you can find all of them here.

    Guide can be found here.

Simply download both the Driver and Modded INF. Extract the driver into a folder, replace the original one with the modded one. Uninstall your current driver, restart and install. Its recommended for you to uninstall first, boot into safe mode, sweep the remaining old driver file away using Driver Sweeper before installing.

Read, 6.14.001"1.6501" notice the 165.01 at the end of that number?

then the date of your driver under it.

The most latest driver I believe is dated 10/29/2007 or somewhere around there.

Yeah i'm using Xp... well i didn't know it was descending order, just assumed the higher the number, the more update it was. guess not huh ?
So uninstall with Driver sweep, then look for latest drivers to install ?
Is the "latest" the best? will it always be the best if it is? or would i have to do research to find the best?

Currently the latest is always released on Laptopvideo2go.com but right now they aren't updating the archive of drivers so you have to scroll down on the main page until you find the 169.04 drivers, then click your OS in red.

Thanks a lot you've helped me so much. But i have one last simple question, well not sure if it's that simple but here goes.

I play on 1200 x 800.. and when i start up games it will go to 1200x800 but when i minimize from full screen back to desktop it, the desktop becomes 1024 x 768 .. which makes everything look larger and i don't like that. But when i close my game ( world of warcraft ) my desktop becomes 1200x800 again. which is fine. Now when i turn off the laptop and turn it back on... it comes on defaulted with 1024 x 768... and i always have to go change it... gets annoying... know the problem??
