Update your drivers... Plus, the x3100 isn't very powerful, what settings did you have it at? And what are the specs of your laptop?

intel dual core
1gb ram
x3100 256mb video card
and i tried on every setting low, medium, high but nothing worked plus i have a latest driver for my graphic card. -
It's a known issue with the x3100 and FarCry. I don't think there's a fix for it.

Had the same thing myself with my 8400m gt, runs all ultra high now!
I suggest first downloading the cumulative patch and see if that fixes it..
Not sure if u can do anything about ur drivers.. maybe someone else can help with that.
But i think you should be able to play it low res without the textures dissapearing (i think)

the cumulative patch also brought big performance increases(at least for my go7600), the fps went from 30 at 1440x900 on high, to about 60 at the same resolution and very high.

You need the latest patch, that texture problem happens in a lot of newer cards in an unpatched edition of Far Cry.
