This game is early access but already has a few maps, regular patches, bug fixes and new features. What I really love about this one is that you can possess any of your team and use their weapons! You can also duck for cover, call in air strikes, snipe, launch RPG's, toss grenades and more.

This is one of the best VR games Ive played so far and am excited to see where it goes in the future. By the way, skip to 2.07 for a good laugh.

The problem I am having with all this VR stuff is it isn't VR. It's VM or virtual minecraft really. You could easily play this without VR and on a 2D screen with a controller.

With VR, no video can show how it feels, and no description even comes close. When you play this game, you feel like you are in the world, right there in a base. I no longer feel like I am in my bedroom, I feel like I am inside of this Minecraft looking world but your brain still responds like it is real.... See, not easy to describe.

Playing on a 2D screen with a controller would never come anywhere close. This is why they need to have places where people can try it out.

I dunno. I tried it out in the 80's, 90's, 2000's and now waiting in 2010's. Any of them have been fun for short run, but so far have not found anything that's good for more than a thrill ride. I played the "pro" stuff in Vegas and E3, etc from 10,15,20 years ago and while fun, they were still gimmicky.

That being said, I have had an Oculus Rift on pre-order for like 9 months now and it keeps getting delayed. Now they say it won't be available until end of July. Really ticking me off. Originally it was supposed to be May, then June, now July. I figure I can give it a run and if it's not all it's cracked up to be, I can at least make a large part of my money back. But now I'm wondering if I should opt for HTC Vive since it's backed by Valve. But the Rift games catalog seems better so far to me at least.

I originally pre ordered the Oculus Rift but got annoyed when the price ended up higher, then I heard there would be no tracked controllers, and then Facebook took over which made me think they would be more interested in data collecting and ads than anything else.

With the Vive, the headset is reported as less comfortable than the Rift, and the Rifts looks more ergonomic. However, the tracked controllers and the more expandable method of tracking used is much more future proof. I am very glad I went with the Vive.

The 'Out Of Ammo' game is quite cheap and you can get a refund, I doubt you would want a refund after trying it though.

I ordered my Vive on April 13th, got it by 18th May. It arrived one day after I got a shipping notification. It took me about 10 minutes to setup. I use a tripod for the tracking boxes.

My Vive (would never get a Facebook-Rift) is already waiting for me at a friends place (at the other end of the world) since a month...probably won't see it until late July...that's the downside of spending most of my time in hard to reach places... :(

@HTWingNut cancel your Rift as long as you still can and get a Vive. Without roomscale there is really no need for VR. It makes all the difference. Rift's locked down eco system doesn't help pushing the tech either...cough Apple...cough...
