you need a ridiculously high clocked dual core or a quad core to run that game good.

I think it bases what the settings are, upon your video memory. No offence, the 8700m GT is a weak card, and considering SLI doesnt function properly in that game it would be a mess. Turn down the res to 1024x768.

you can try that, but I dont think it will yield much difference, maybe 1fps, maybe.

Anti Aliasing, pretty much gets rid of jaggies caused by pixels, wiki it if you want more insight. That will kill performance if it is on.

I'm not sure that calling the 8700 GT weak is completely appropriate. Especially in light of GTA4. Nobody has a CPU beefy enough to run it as the devs. made it to be.

I'm still running an 8600GT and play Fallout 3, Far Cry 2, Crysis, and GTA4 just fine. Sure, I'm not getting over 30 fps, but the games still look great and play well.

its not weak but when you consider ati 4850s in crossfire or nvidia GTX 280 that can barely get 30 fps on High detail in this case it is weak for GTA4

The only CPU that can run it well is the QX9300 or a very overclocked X9100.

well its not strong, if it had a 256bit bus i would be thinking differently.

im glad if your games run good, thats a good thing, still is a weak card imo.
