I know these arent mobile cards, but I can't seem to determine which one is more powerful, and what are the physical differences between them. One of my friends in class today said the 280 is better than the GX2, but I couldn't compare & verify myself using nVidia's website. The specs look so close to each other, even though the GX2 has more cores and higher texture fill rate, the 280 seems to be higher in other specs.

So which one is better? Also, 2-way 280 > 2-way GX2 as well?

    Thanks mucho.

I believe the perform about the same with different games showing different results. If you are in the market, you may wish to wait for the 55nm refresh. ( Though I do not know the release date )

Good video, 280 almost exactly identical to the GX2. Both beat out the 4870.

Now the question is, which ones are better in SLI?
