I am downloading 3dmark 06 (freeware version) now. Everyone guess what my score will be and we'll see who wins!
My system specs are as follows:
Macbook Pro
15" screen 1440 X 900 native resolution
2gb ram
200 gb 7200 rpm HD
8600m GT 512 gddr3
2.6 ghz Pernyn processor
OS:
Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit version
Running via bootcamp
Video driver version:
174.31 (64 bit version)
Got it from this site:
http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/
OK!
Given those specs, what do you think my 3dmark 06 score will be. As I said earlier I am just downloading the freeware version and will not tweak a thing...I will just run it in the resolution that it makes me run it in. Also I am not overclocking my card...everything is stock.
May the best guess win!

Wow if I get 5500-6k that would amaze me. The average score I have seen is around 3500...but maybe the new MBP refresh will help with that speed.
-
ok 4...lithus brought up that standard

I brought up what standard?

4865 will be your score...a homeless man that smelled like lube and cheeswhiz told me!

3d score ---> math -

I'm a brand new mac user...and my desktop is still a PC!! Does that mean I still have *half* my brains left?

Now take the limit at 90. -
My guess is 5180.

All I'm saying is that you can cut something in half infinite times...
but I'm just a mac user -
MBP isn't a bad notebook! It was just a silly choice if your main goal is gaming..
Would be interested to see your score.. and your temps during benchmark LOL -
Ask WEI (Windows Experience Index) for what your 3dmark score could be.
You could also ask WEI for lucky lotto numbers. -
5000. I get 4850 on my t61p.
-
Well I like to game alot so gaming was very important in my laptop choice. But I also need Windows Vista for work...and Final Cut pro for video work...and I will also be using OS X for recording music. So it seems like I made the right choice considering all I want to do.
Best of all worlds IMO and it wasnt that much more than I spent on my last windows laptop. -

My guess is 4500-5500. Around that area.
-
you guys are generous going over 4k....I have Vista 64 installed LOL i figured that would slow it down some. Almost ready to test!
-
My system on a p4 got a 4122 score.. if a macbook pro can't get a 4k..cpu seems to count for very little..
Guess what my 3dmark 06 score will be and you might win!
