I just bought this game, and I LOVE it. Its alot of fun, and definitely a change of pace from WoW, that I am used to playing. I let my brother take over WoW as I didn't have enough time to play to justify paying that much money. A friend of mine has been playing NF for awhile now, and finally talked me into getting it. We played from 7pm to 7am. Its safe to say I like it. :D Here are some screenshots of my current character. Level 11 Paragon/Ranger. Poison spears+bleeding along with my friends mesmer=massive degen. GG.

Do PvP. Much more fun than boring PvE, and more rewarding as well (but takes a lot of training before you become anywhere near decent - took me a year to get to rank 6)

I played the original and Factions for a long time then I just stopped playing because the factions PvE was so boring (in my opinion) and I had just split with my clan so I had no GvG to entertain myself with. I may have to reinstall and see if my characters still exist, I had three maxxed level characters with full armor and 90-95% of their skills...

I have all 3 chapters. Ever since NPC Heroes were introduced by Nightfall, the number of people looking to team up in PvE literally fell off the earth. Everybody now plays with their own Heroes.
Haven't gone online for the past 3 weeks now, since the Wintersday event.
PvP component is definitely the strength of the GW series.

    I only played the original.

I had beat the PVE game 2 or 3 times, got into pvp. Was doing tombs and gvg regularly, my guild was in top 100 at one point... But I got bored of it, and my guild kinda fell apart too before factions came out.

I definitely got my 50 bucks' worth though; it was really a lot of fun for a while.

I just got so annoyed with how frequently they massively overhauled the game to stop 75% of the stuff I found fun such as farming. I wasn't even invincimonk farming, I was solo farming with my freakin necromancer and it was insanely difficult to do.

I love how hands on the dev team is but they started making changes that created problems worse than there were before which they then fixed and created more problems and so on... I'd rather they spent a decent interval of time beta testing before implementing such huge changes just to be followed by 20 hotfixes.

Anyway, it could be better now for all I know.

Ya a lot of people in the game complain how bad those updates can get. If they see too many people making too much money doing a certain thing, such as troll farming or rune farming, they will update it in a way that makes it harder to farm or earn money. I remember when 7 of my friends left GW, because they were upset with the updates, in order to go to play or try out WoW.

Even though this game had some issues it was still fun especially pvp combat and the ability to switch to different channels at your own convenience. Storyline wasn't bad and pretty interesting too but sometimes you could never form group and most times there was a lack of monks.

But I still played all three chapters and enjoyed it very much.
