I haven't tried it yet.
Lets see how it performs...

all high/on, no AA, 1920x1080 and no tessalation run: max fps 84, avg 60.
I'll run the game with tessalation next time, gotta go play something first! -
Alright, Tessalation can't be enabled via the game, gotta force it on the settings ini.
All high/on, no Vsyc, 1920x1080, tessalation on:
Max fps:139
Average fps: 92
The game doesn't seem to be demanding at all. And I agree with the fire etc, it looks weak compared to the amazing landscapes. -
everything max out 1440x900, no Tessellation,16x Q CSAA and Vsync on
Min 40 and MAX 80

So is this any less arcade than the first one?

The release of this benchmark is great news. I was thinking they would end up canning the PC version altogether. While the original was arcade-like I enjoyed it very much. Of course they still could cancel it but the fact that they took the time to release a benchmark is promising. It seems to run very well. Here's my results (Max 144, Avg 89). 1680x1050, AA off (not needed at native IMHO), Tessellation is off (not supported by my video card), Vsync off (for best performance), everything else high. Sager NP8662, Q9200 2.4GHz, GTX 260m, 4GB DDR3.

man, would love to buy the game, really enjoyed the first one, but it's that blasted Ubisoft constant online connection DRM problem again... blasted
-
Here's some results for those of us with slightly weaker GPUs. Still good results, using the laptop in my sig.
-
oh i have same score as you ^ with i3 and 5730 just only with 3gigs of ram at 1366x768 and 2xMSAA
-
Oh wrong, you can enable tesselation through game just go into hawx2 benchmark directory and runn hawxdx11 or something like that
I dont think that tesselation can be enable only through ini file if game is not runing in dx11 mode, and if you run from shortcut on start menu or desktop it will surely run only in dx10
EDIT: Sry for double post, if someone can merge it it would be great -
EDIT:I've just finished downloading it and...Seriously?! Why on earth would you want to put DRM on a demo??? That is just ridiculous.

Kingpinzero ROUND ONE,FIGHT! You Win!
Heya guysm i did some benchmarks myself too.
Everyone got really good scores imho
This is the first:
1920x1200
Maxed Out/8xCsaa
No Vsync
This is the second
1680x1050
Maxed Out/No AA
No Vsync
I have too many things running in background (like jdownloader, it eats braaaains) and im still waiting for my X9000 to ship. Anyway ive benched it right away, using T9300 in dualida mode (2,70ghz) and Sli.
I bet that scores will be better once ive rebooted and cleaned some background things.
Enabling vsync gives me same results no matter what resolution i use: 64fps Max and AVG 58fps, so i didnt bothered to post it.
Oh this is on my xps m1730. -

Pirating a demo is a crime. A really really bad crime that will cost the company millions

Kingpinzero ROUND ONE,FIGHT! You Win!
I guess because this isnt really a *stand alone* benchmark, but more of a little portion of the game itself.
I bet the same benchmark will be included into the final game as well, like capcom does (its a disgrace that Dead Rising 2 didnt got a benchmark, its an awful port).
So therefore...if the benchmark is ripped straight from the final game, it uses the same launcher. Thats why it asks to login to ubisoft. Oh well ive enjoyed alot AC2 and had only one freeze due to adsl going down...beside that it was awesome.
Im not bothered with this DRM as long it works and doesnt mess with peoples life..
btw, this isnt even a demo... -
I got with my XPS M1730 in signature:
Max FPS 170
Average FPS 94
This at all options on max, vscync off and 8xAA. -
My DX10 scores all high/on 1920x1080 no vsync and no AA
Max fps 140
Avg: 92
My DX10 scores all high/on 1920x1080 no vsync and 4x AA
Max fps 145
Avg: 85
My DX10 scores all high/on 1920x1080 no vsync and 8x AA
Max fps 121
Avg: 81
DX11 all high/on, 1920x1080, 0x AA, Tessalation On, no vSyc
Max fps: 76
Avg: 57
DX11 all high/on, 1920x1080, 4x AA, Tessalation On, no vSyc
Max fps: 64
Avg: 47
I gotta say, I didn't notice much, if at all, any graphic fidelity change from DX11 from DX10 other than the performance hit. The game looked the exact same to me. No reason to even run in DX11 when DX10 looks the same and brings better performance. -
I ran another run of the benchmark this time with AA disabled, 1920x1200.
Max FPS 207
Average FPS 87
Strangely enough I got lower average FPS with AA disabled than with 8xAA enabled. Though I got an 30+ fps increase in Max FPS
Of course the bench ran with my XPS M1730, X9000 at 3.8Ghz. -
Maybe they are worried about some one pirating the Demo....... -
when's the game release date? Its was october 11 and it seems to be november 12 now..
-

Kingpinzero ROUND ONE,FIGHT! You Win!
Thats cool, but desktop benchmarks arent useful into a notebook forum, you know
Well at least it kinda gives a rough idea on what your system can do....and its a crazy one. -
Why do people keep saying DX10? There's only DX9 and DX11 in this game.
-
-
Doesn´t it run in DX10 in Vista? I have to check, my benchmark was run in DX9 Win XP SP3.
I agree posting desktop benchmark scores is kind of useless when it´s a notebookforum. -
-
I use Fraps to determine the DirectX version (black background behind FPS means DX10/11 and no background means 9).
With the default exe it was no background so DX9, with DX11 exe it was black background. -
Sounds about right Bearclaw.
