    Hello everyone!
I've been looking into both gaming laptops and desktops for some time, and I've decided on a base level desktop with easy customization and medium gaming prowess. My price range is ~$500, and I would prefer getting it through Amazon for the free shipping. This is kind of the one I've decided on; http://www.amazon.com/CyberpowerPC-...UTF8&colid=ET6UC5V01JSS&coliid=I221FL8GB5T9FV
Realistically, is this a good mid-range gaming setup, and is it easy to customize and modify later? In addition, does the combination between the HD 6450 + AMD A4-3400 a good, solid entry gaming setup, being able to push MW2, MW3, Minecraft, BF3 at acceptable framerates and settings? Thanks much!

That desktop is very low end. Its processor is very slow and the graphics card is very slow.

AMD Radeon HD 6450 video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-2600 Processor,Dell Inc. 0Y2MRG score: 4146 3DMarks

The gaming performance of that machine is non existant. The processor is very slow. This is more of a machine that can play games in 2005-2007 well. Anything new and you will be lucky to get 30fps on low.

That desktop makes my laptop look like an alienware lol apart from my cpu being slow. Your cpu is very slow as well but your gpu makes mine look high end. Your cpu is comparable to a core 2 duo 2.53ghz and your gpu is probably on par with an 8600m gs/gt

Thanks for the replies, I didn't realize how low end this processor is...can anyone recommend a desktop machine more suited for gaming, with a price range more at $600?

    *UPDATE*
I found this with a much more powerful GPU, but I don't know about the GPU. Any advice?

Well that is a lot faster cpu and gpu. That is an ok mid range desktop. It has a 6670 graphics card which is low-mid range but a lot faster then the previous one you showed me. If you really want to game on good settings you need a more power gpu.

DIY, much cheaper. 500-600 can possibly build a 7850 or 6950 setup which get like 7970m performance. (US, wait for deals/microcenter don't mind lower end(doesnt mean bad) parts)

I have mobility 4570 with a core 2 duo p7350 2.0ghz and I can play the first Witcher, minecraft and the modern warfare titles as well as diablo 3 at 768 and med. Heck I can even play metro 2033 on low med though its at a slightly lower resolution. I bought the laptop before I really knew what I was doing though and I wish I would have at least got the 4650. Even then your looking at lower mid range and the HD 4000 will beat my card on most every game not to mention the amd IGPU's. If you can go with at least a HD 6670 or a equivalent Nvidia card (GT640?)

@baiii, I don't want to build it myself for time and simplicity reasons. @Gearsguy, yeah, maybe I'll move the damn thread after I started to actually get replies. I've decided I'm willing to raise the cost of purchasing this desktop to ~800-900, and was looking at a model more in this range; http://amzn.to/N20lbq I apologize for the frequent cost changes, but I realized after watching some benchmarks and reviews how low-end both the CPU and GPU of this desktop are. So if anyone has some suggestions on a better gaming desktop in this price range, (most preferably from Amazon or a website w/ free shipping) feel free to suggest them.
