    Ok, so I'm looking to get the new Qosmio q870, below I'll paste the specs. I'm wondering a few things;
    - For games like COD6 - Modern Warfare 2 can i run that with high to maxed settings?
    - I'm planning on buying a another 2gb of ram for it is expandable to 8 gb;
    ---o Would that help my gaming and performance?
    ---o Is it worth doing?
    - Last question, if I can't run games so smoothly, what could I add to beef up my system to make it render 3d games more smoothly?

    that should run cod6 at high to maxed settings pretty handily. and no, i dont think the extra ram will help with games just yet.

    Not necessarily. I think it will manage High nicely, but I think you should stay off the Very High if you want over 30FPS.

    As for MW2, you'll be able to max it with 4 - 8xAA easy. At native resolution too.

    This laptop is great except the screen... the res is horrible... ur better off getting the version with the full HD screen... the res for such a big screen is lousy.

    I must disagree, but most other games will run quite well, unless you use 4-8xAA in Dragon Age or force CSAA in Mass Effect 2. Call Of Duty will run even with AA.

    Not necessary. The screen resolution depends on personal taste at the most part and the resolution that you like doesn't necessary appeal to someone else. :)

    I'd stick with the 1680x945. With the higher res screen, you'd have to play below native resolution.

    Also, you'll never find a game which uses even 4GB, so the 6GB is way overkill.

    /shrug looks like plenty of oomph for most things.
    Its no desktop, but there isn't much you won't be able to play for now.
    (might have to turn down a few settings)

    Ignore the 2048x1536 or bust people... that's just crazy talk.

    The second most important question is, how much does it cost?

    if it is 1500 , get Asus G73... it would chew the qosmio for lunch and should be able to play all games on high on full HD.... ur better off getting the ASUS G73 than this qosimo...

    You can get the X505 with i5 for $1200 on newegg. It will do just as well with gaming, but you lose Blu-Ray, which really makes those speakers and mammoth sized screen shine.

    I still think G73 is a better gaming and entertainment laptop overall...
