I've played everything under the sun.

I love fps, rts, rpg, racing, i HATE mmorpgs (those are for morons).

I'm currently hooked to CS:S (it's too easy, but a good way to kill time)
I just played through FlatOut2... and yeah. i would list the other games but the list would go on forever.

I just need a REALLY GOOD and interesting game to play. if its old thats ok. but keep in mind that ive probably beat it.

WHAT are you guys HOOKED to?

For FPS, FEAR rocks, one of the best FPS for a long time in my opinion, Prey is also worth checking out. Call of Duty 2 is great as well.

Star Wars Empire at War and Lord of the Rings : Battle for Mid Earth 2 are good recent RTS games

Not into RPGs, though Oblivion and Fable come highly recommended. If you're a star wars fan you can also check out Knights of the Old Republic 1 and 2 which are great.

I also recently bought myself GUN, which I'll describe as Grand Theft Auto set in the Old West. Its a good blast for 5-6 hours (short game) but you might be able to pick it up pretty cheap.

You should play Knights of the old Republic anyway. They're good games, regardless of setting.
Never hurts to try something you don't already know. ;)

For RTS games, Dawn of War, definitely. Buy it, then play it multiplayer. Wicked fun. Company of Heroes might be worth a shot too, although I've only played the beta of it, it seemed very promising (and seems people here like it too)

    For RPG's, I don't care if they're a few years old, play Fallout 1 and 2. :)

I second DOW. That is one of my favorite games of all time. Plus the next expansion is coming out soon and looks very promising. Definetly worth checking out. You can try a demo first though if you aren't sure.

Lots of games out there.....but a warning you should adhere to is stay away from WoW. It is more addicting then crack. STAY AWAY!!

There a new little game call Faces of War also about WWII, it a RTS or RTT game, it in the shadow of Company of Heroes but I think it pretty good. Since no one mention it I think I should. I recommend it.
Star war : empire strike back also very good (RTS) and DOW is good too.
For RPG, Fallout 1 and 2 is classic, very good, new one is Never winter night 1 and 2 at the end of this year.
Prey in my opinion is not good , just so so, Quake4 is way better than Prey.

thanks guys. ive played fallouts, and neverwinter, etc... i beat DOW but never bought the expansion because i didnt like how easy it was. if you play warhammer tabletops (which i have to admit i have) you know every units weakness and i beat the game relatively quickly. especially because the computer is retarded. I didnt really like the style of gameplay. it was kinda blocky and bothered me. id still prefer warcraft or starcraft...

right now im looking at company of heroes, fear, and half-life 2 (i havent played it yet, dont ask me why).

ive already played starwars games. i just hate the starwars universe and george lucas. the movies are good no doubt. but the games make me feel like a real geek, and i dont like that. or the game itself.

if anyone needs a really reall raelly good old school RPG, i just found my Arcanum cds. very fond memories from this game. (nox too, and baldurs, and elder scrolls, and might&magic, god i love a good rpg)

As I said, play it online. It's an entirely different experience. The singleplayer campaign is, at best, mediocre and predictable. in multiplayer, it's in an entirely different league than Starcraft.
